Richard purchased his first “junkyard” car at age 15.  He is a self-taught expert in auto mechanics and restoration.  In 1985, at age 17, he won his first auto show competition  with a Corvette that he restored.

Through the years, Richard has restored and shown numerous Corvettes.  In 2004, he competed with his restored 1963 Corvette in three National Level Corvette “Concours d’Elegance” shows, (Bloomington Gold, NCRS Top Flight, VetteFest) earning top honors in all three shows.  That same year he won the Triple Crown, the highest level of recognition a Corvette can receive.

In 2014, Richard finished the restoration of a rare 1972 Corvette LT-1 A/C Coupe.

In its first show, it scored top honors and further named a Sponsor’s Pick.  It  will compete on the National Show Level in 2016.

Richard is a long-time member of the National Corvette Museum and the National Corvette Restorers Society.  He is also an avid motorcyclist and loves vintage and modern Harley-Davidson Motorcycles as much as he does Corvettes.  He is a long-time member of the Harley-Davidson Owners Group and frequently rides in tours and rallies.
